the CD01

The CD01 is one of the largest barges in Europe. A  joint venture between Malin Abram and Augustea, it can submerge to load vessels and cargo with draughts of up to 12m and over 137m in length.

Due to its highly versatile design, it can be used for both deep sea transport of large vessels and cargo. This combined with its sheer size – as one of the largest in Europe – makes the CD01 an enviable and popular asset amongst our global client base.

the heavylift magazine

As an organisation we are passionate about sharing best practice. As such, we produce a quarterly magazine, the Heavylift Engineer.

This free, quarterly magazine represents a valuable resource for all of those working in the heavy lift industry – with the remit to share best practice, and stimulate further discussion, learning and development.

Whether you are in shipbuilding, heavy fabrication, power generation or mining, the heavy lift engineer’s skill set is critical. No other engineering discipline, if you decide to dive deep enough, offers such a range of technical challenges. The Heavylift Engineer aims to reflect that variety, offering something of interest to you, every edition, regardless of your background.

You can download past copies and sign up, free of charge to receive all new editions as they are released.

Every new subscriber over the period of Breabulk will be entered into a free prize draw to win a Scottish hamper – featuring a variety of local Scottish produce, including a bottle of 15 year old malt whisky.
