A stowage plan is a general layout of where cargo is loaded onto a ship or barge. Prior to the cargo being loaded a plan is created with computer aided design (CAD). This allows us to simulate where the cargo will be positioned onboard and check any seagoing forces acting on it. This then enables us to determine the best method for securing the cargo.
In conjunction with a stowage plan, our engineers issue a transportation manual for your cargo, which will provide you with all the necessary information to ensure that the cargo will be safely secured. Incorporating the seagoing forces, the method of securing and any deck strength checks that may be required, the transportation manual carries with it our Quality Approval system accredited to DNV-ISO 9001:2015.
